During my internship with Orano Federal Services, a global leader in nuclear fuel cycle technologies that supports the U.S. Department of Energy and other federal clients, I contributed to projects focused on nuclear packaging systems. I worked on evaluating and improving designs for the safe transport and storage of radioactive materials, applying engineering analysis tools to optimize material use, strengthen structural integrity, and ensure compliance with NQA-1 nuclear quality assurance standards. This role provided me with hands-on experience at the intersection of mechanical engineering, nuclear safety, and regulatory compliance.
